Monkey Business Tree Service are a local, family owned & operated tree service based in Bli Bli on the Sunshine Coast. John Blythe, the owner / operator is a certified Arborist with over 25 years experience. John was trained at Burnley College – Melbourne University, Australia’s leading college specialising in horticulture.

In 2002, John commenced trading as Monkey Business Tree Service on the Sunshine Coast and business has grown considerably since. Our team are highly trained and experienced to ensure the safety of your family and home.

We are committed to employing local Sunshine Coast people and imparting as much knowledge and skills to ensure our industry standards are upheld for generations to come. Our first apprentice completed the Aboriculture course in 2020, receiving a recommendation from the training organisation to the Queensland Training Awards for their contribution to the program.

Our Team

Renelle, Johns partner is currently completing her certificate in Arboriculture to learn more about the trade to enable her to assist the crew in all aspects of our business.

Our wonderful Operations Manager, Owen has a wealth of managerial experience and is dual traded, having previously completed a carpentry apprenticeship before starting a career in arboriculture.

Murphy is our groundsman superstar. He recently joined our team and has learned so much to become a very valued member of our team.

Our tenured employee, Shane has been with Monkey Business in a variety of roles since the very start. He has played a fundamental role in the growth and change of our business over the years. We appreciate his reliability and willingness to assist with on-call emergency jobs and how much he loves stump grinding.

Robert recently finished his career operating tower cranes, now semi-retired he’s been a bloody star helping out with the floatage of our larger machines & driving the heavy vehicles.
